Masters of Social Work Curriculum
In addition to the strong liberal arts base of the Social Work Program, the advanced curriculum study includes social work’s history, purpose, and philosophy, and provides students with the knowledge, values, and skills to become social work professionals strong in clinical practice, leadership, advocacy, community development, and program planning. Upon completion of the foundation curriculum, students select from one of two concentrations to further advance their knowledge and skills. The two concentrations include: 1) Individuals and Families 2) Community and Organizational Practice
Students also complete a foundation curriculum field placement, and a concentration curriculum field placement as part of their courses of study for the MSW degree. Names and credit hours for foundation and concentration curriculum courses are provided:
